Soul of the city - I'm sold!

Pernilla recommened the choir Soul of the city to me a while back, I thought that it sounded nice to sing in a choir again but didn't really feel like I had the time, however I decided to go and try it yesterday. And I loved it! The leader was brilliant, so energetic, she got everyone in a great mood, and we spent 2 h singing away. I'm definitely going back next week!

Series, series, series...

They're all starting again this month, I'm going to spend tonight watching Desperate Housewives, Gossip Girl and Grey's Anatomy...Oh yes!

Weekend

We had one of those really good weekends, you know when you go to bed on Sunday night and feel like you've actually got loads done, and really enjoyed ourselves and on top of it all some sort of heat wave came to Brighton so the weather was great! I even wore shorts on Sunday.

Met up with some friends in town on Friday, didn't have a late one, only a few drinks and a catch up. Went climbing with Isla and Joe on Saturday morning, which was great! We haven't been for ages so it felt really good even if we were a bit achie on Sunday. Had Valle and Dave over for dinner in the evening before we went to the Laughing Horse at the Quadrant, we had a good laugh and ended up having a sleep over at ours. Had breakfast together on Sunday morning and then we went to Sheffield Park in the afternoon. The best time for visiting the park is in the end of October-beginning of November, but the autumn colours were still pretty. We ended our evening with dinner at the Devil's Dyke and a tea at Valle's and Dave's.
Busy and intensive, but all so lovely and fun.

Cocktails and dinner with the girls

Since both Valle and me secured new roles at work recently we thought it was a good idea to go out with the girls and celebrate. We - Rachel, Carley, Clare, Valle and I - meet up at Las Iguanas after work, enjoyed the 2 for 1 cocktails, had so much to chat about that we kind of forgot we were gonna eat. Got ourselves a table in the end and enjoyed the awesome Brazilian food. Brilliant night with lovely friends.

Organisational changes

Why can it never be easy?

I was looking forward to a new role, a step in the right direction towards what I want to work with, new challenges, continue developing process I've set up and worked with from the start, knowledge of several markets, but no. As soon as you think something is going your way and you feel proud of what you've achieved, something always has to change or go wrong. I think these new changes will benefit many people, however at the moment, it definitely does not feel like it will benefit me and my development as individual at all. That was my moan of the day, I know I have to give it a chance and try to make the best out of the situation, however it's difficult when you were really looking forward to something and it's just being taken away.

I'm not bitter at all...

Quality time

As nice at it is with visitors, parties, going out, cinema, seeing friends and working out, it is lovely to just be, be here in our flat, together, spending time together, chat about everything, laugh and just hang out.
We're going to enjoy the Sunday evening, eat a home made roast and then watch Pirates of the Caribbean 4.

Welcome to the Black Pearl

Dave's P party.

We got together on Saturday night, all dressed as something beginning with P to got to Southwick and celebrate Dave's 25th birthday. When we arrived at Em's and Dave's house we were greeted by the lovley hostess, who was dressed as a sexy female pirate, out in the garden they had created the Black Pearl from Pirates of the Caribbean, smokte, canons, guns, music, rum and everything else you connect with pirates. A few 'unpleasent accidents' during the evening, but all in all we had an awesome night with good friends.

A walk down memory lane

Anna and Hanna came over from Sweden for a few days and stayed with us.
The week was filled with laughter, nice food, shopping and loads of memories. We recalled many of the nights out from, what we ate and where, who made out with who, where we lived, trips we made and much more.

Preparations...

...for the next visit. Anna and Hanna are coming over from Sweden tomorrow and I still haven't managed to sort out the flat since Mattias and Terese have been staying here. Wash sheets and towels, washing up, clean the bathroom and sort out all sorts of stuff that has been put everywhere. Looks like I'm having a fun day in front of me?

It's gonna be great to see Anna and Hanna though, can't wait!

A tear at the trainstation...

Mattias left to day, we got up early this morning and walked him to the train station. It's been great having him here, nice with some quality time and it's nice to just hang out. Unfortunately time always flies when he is here! He stayed for eight days this time, however it feels like he just came and left again. It's not until we see each other that I realise how much I miss him. He is such an amazing person, and I am so happy that we have such a great relationship. So, yes, when I waved goodbye at the station earlier today it felt a bit sad that I won't see him for ages again...

Valle ♥ Dave

If you get married, why not celebrate it twice? Valle and Dave had their wedding reception here in the UK last weekend. Since some of their family and friends were unable to make it to the actual wedding in Spain, they decided to celebrate here in the UK as well. They looked as beautiful as ever and seeing everyone that we meet in Spain again brought back all the lovely memories from the week we spent in Santaella. We had yet another great day together with dear friends, nice food, laughter and drinks.
