It's been weeks, it's been days, it's been months, nearly years, however we finally managed to get together with Adrian, Marianne, James and Kelda. We met up for a Sunday roast and an over due catch up over the bankholiday weekend in August. It had been so long, we all talked, ate and laughed our way through the afternoon, the topics were flying left, right and centre and laughter filled the air on this sunny afternoon. Yet another great ending to the weekend!

Housewarming
We 'celebrated' moving in to our the flat by inviting our dear friends around for dinner and some drinks. On the menu this Saturday we had beer can chicken, spicy sweet potatoes and corn on the cob a la Jamie. The food was a success and the dancing chickens went down as a treat. If you ever will cook a whole chicken again, do it the beer can way!
It was lovely having everyone around, showing everyone the new place, starting to create memories in the lovely basement flat around the corner from the station. Nadine was over for a visit and it was nice to get a chance to introduce her to my friends here. What more can I ask for than having so many of my dearest, no matter what country they live in, in the same town at the same time?

Craig's big 30 and the best roast so far!
We all gathered t the Brunswick Pub to celebrate Craig's 30th birthday with a Sunday lunch. This particular Sunday offered sunshine, lovely friends, an amazing roast and birthday cake. We had a lovely afternoon on the Brunswick's terrace and the birthday boy was happy with the celebrations!

Visit from South Korea
Chubbs visit ended up clashing with our move so we had two weeks full of a combination of packing boxes, catching up, cleaning and going out. Stressful but worth it! We had a summer week, took a couple of days of and we enjoyed the days lazying on the beach in the sun, blue sky, 30 degrees, picnics, summer dresses and bare feet. What more do you need? This particular week in July was also a week of firsts for me, most importantly, I swam in the Brighton see for the first time! It took me four years to get myself in to the Brighton sea, but now it's done. It was nice, not amazing, the water probably wasn't very clean, but I didn't mind it. Who knows, I might go for a swim again next year?

Two months later
Nearly two months have passed since I last wrote here, this is what happens when you move in the UK and it takes nearly two months to get the internet installed again.
A lot has happened since my last update, we've moved in to our new faboulous flat, dear friends have visited all through the summer, I've started a new job and the planning for the Carpenter/ Southeran wedding has started.
Let's start with the move, the new flat is just around the corner from our old one, it has a large lounge, a lovely bedroom, separate kitchen and a little garden. I love it! It feels like a real home, there is still some work that needs to be done but we're nearly there. When it's all done I will add some pictures here.
Moving on, we've had many dear friends over for visits over the summer and it's been lovely to catch up with people we haven't seen for a long time, even if the summer has passed too quickly as always and the weather hasn't been particularly great it has been great!
