Pretty toes and dinner party

My first ever pedicure, Thai red curry, Ring of fire and laughter.

I started of Friday evening at Pitcher&Piano for Pernilla's leaving drinks - a lot of Swedish people in one place and amazing espresso cocktails. Rushed home, did a quick clean and prepared for the dinner, thai red curry was on the menu. Before dinner I had my first ever pedicure, my feet feel lighter for some weird reason, must have been all the dirt coming off, and I have gems on up toe nails. Apparently I have muscley legs and tense fett! Since I was running a bit behind schedule it was good that people turned up late.
Dinner and dessert was a success and the night continued until early morning with Ring of fire, Rizzla game, loads of laughter, wine and a midnight snack.

Is it November?

I look in the calender and it tells me it is the 11th August, I look out through the window and the weather tells me it is the 11th November! Grey, windy and cold - a normal August day in the UK.

Vietnamese food and 80's music

Noodlesoup, Halida beer and meatballs flavoured with lemongrass. We spent last night together with friends from Sweden at restaurant Pho in the Lanes. Lovely food, laughter and memories. We have not seen each other for over a year and had loads to talk about, tell each other and remember together from our time in Brighton. Magdalena, Jonathan and I studied here together when I first moved here in September 2007 and we have kept in contact since.

Since they'd been travelling all day they were tired and went home after we went to Bath Arms, Costa and I continued our night at Black Lion and finally we busted some moves together with Eliott and Jez to 80's hits at the Haunt.

We're off!

Not until next September, but we are off!
We're gonna sell all our stuff, pack our backpacks with only the essentials and then leave the country for a year of travelling. We have not decided the exact route yet, but I'm tempted to start of in the States, buy a car and drive through the country for a few months, would love to spend Christmas and New Years in Sri Lanka, I wanna visit friends in New Zeeland and Australia and maybe teach English in Vietnam.
So, it's time to start saving for this adventure!

Confusion

Every morning I wake up as if someone threw a bucket of water in my face, I wish I could wake up slowly, feel rested, and filled with energy. Unfortunately this never happens, instead I wake up, trying to figure out if I'm awake or still in that awesome dream I dreamt. It's amazing how clear you can remember some of the details from your dreams, only for a while though. If I get up, start to get ready, have breakfast and then try to tell about my dreams to someone, my mind is blank. I don't remember a thing! I wish I could remember what I dreamt. I beat there is loads of interesting things going on in my mind when I'm not aware. A friend of mine once told me that he had a book next to his bed and wrote down his dreams as soon as he woke up. Maybe that is an idea? I never believed that your dreams have any significant meaning, only that they are a mixture of memories, happenings and thoughts, but it would be interesting to write down and analyse your own twisted mind I guess. Thoughts that you have that you might not notice or pay attention to in a waken state mixed up with actual happenings. Who knows, I might be wrong, there might be meaning hidden somewhere in all the confusion?
I'm gonna take these thoughts with me to bed and hope that they make more sense tomorrow.
