Sunday roast

Met up with some of our lovely friends for roast at the Hampton Arms on Sunday, as you all might know the Hampton Arms is one of my favourite places for a roast and I did not get disappointed this time either! Plates of delicious pork, beef and chicken trimmed with all the vegetables you want were servered to us and we spent the afternoon in the pub just chatting, catching up and relaxing. Sundays in the pub is the best! A group of friends a glas of red and a roast, sorted! Jo's daughter Finny had the best answer when Lucy asked her what she thought about boys 'Put them in the bin'! Then she leaned over and whispered 'Girls win boys in the bin'! Finished of the evening with darts at the Montpelier and pub quiz at the Windmill.

Do it like a dude!

Mattias and Louise came over for a week full of going out, eating out, shopping, birthday celebrations, kareoke and much more! They arrived on Wednesday last week, we started of their stay with some tapas at Las Iguanas, dinner at ours in the evening and drinks at the Wick Inn, what was planned to be a quite drink turned into a 'mini' pubcrawl and ended up staying out way too late for a school night. Both me and Costa were hanging when we had to get up and go to work on Thursday, however after a powernap were we ready for Mattias's birthday dinner at Krua Anne, drinks at the Dorset and a three hours kareoke session at Lucky Voice! Tunes like Mmmbop, Living on a prayer, We built this city, Maneater, Basket case and Valery were sung like we were professionals (?!). Luckily I had Friday off, went for lunch at Pho and strolled around town. In the evening we had Costa's birthday party at ours and then drinks in The Robin Hood. We managed to squiz 43 people in to our living room, impressive! Had a great night at the Robin Hood with lovely friends, ended up back at ours, ate the birthday cake and chatted our way to the morning. we did have big plans for Saturday, however we were all way to hanging to even get out of the house. So instead of dinner out and going out clubbing we re-ceiled the bath, rented a movie and stuffed our faces with tacos. To be honest, after three nights out in a row it was quit nice! Met up with some of our lovely friends at the Hampton Arms for a roast on Sunday, spent all day there, eating, drinking and catching up. Unfortunately reality caught up with me on Sunday eve and I realised I actually had to go to work on Monday...Depressing thought after such a good weekend! Met up with Mattias and Louise in town, went to some shops, went home made tapas and passed on the sofa! Thanks for a brilliant week dudes!

The calm after the storm

After a bit over two weeks with people staying with us we finally have our flat back! There is not 5 billion towels in the bathroom, the hallway is not rammed with shoes, the living room is not covered in matresses, quilts, suitcases, bags, clothes and the kitchen does not look like a tip! It's amazing! I can just sit here, on my own, listen to music just as load as I want to, not talk to anyone, not get ready to go out, just be...Be here in my comfy sofa!

Boys and their 'toys'

Elliot is enjoying the pictures in the Swedish royal gossip magazine and attempting to read about the Danish princess and Costa is loving his new Wii game, Overkill.

Signs of spring

It definitely does not feel like January here in Brighton, I tell you that. Went far a walk today and saw buds ready to burst on the bushes, blossoming trees and snowdrops.

Have had a very relaxing weekend, thai food at the Office on Friday, Elliot came over for a catch up yesterday and today we are making beer can chicken and going to the cinema later.

2011 turned into 2012

I was planning on writing a recap of 2011, I even started writing it, got to March and realised there is too much to write, the year that just passed gave me so much, new lovely friends, travels, experiences, adventures, good times and bad times, I look back at 2011 and I'm thankful for all the amazing, great, brilliant, fun, meaningful, hilarious things that I experienced.

We celebrated the end of 2011 and the beginning of 2012 together with friends here in Brighton.
Em and Dave - thanks for hosting a brilliant night!
