First BBQ of the year!

For those of you who know us, know that we love to bbq! As soon as the first sun is out we get our green bbq bucket out and head down to the beach. So on Tuesday last week we packed our basket, took a blanket with us, enjoyed dinner on the beach and watched the sunset - Life is good!

The best of mums!

A while back Terese and I got a brilliant idea after a few wines and too many cheesy boy band songs - Let's invite our mums over for a 'girls' weekend' in Brighton. Both mum and Gun loved the idea and before we new it tickets were booked and the mum weekend got closer.

The weekend was full of laughter, talking, nice food, shopping and sunshine! We were lucky and a mini summer decided to visit Brighton at the same time as my mum - bare legs, t-shirts and warm evenings!
We started of the weekend with dinner at Pho, an evening full of Vietnamese noodle dishes, beers from Bali and laughter. On Saturday we went to London and spent the sunny day at Portobello Market and went to see the musical Wicked in the afternoon. A fantastic day! Enjoyed the delicious food at Portobello, went shopping, enjoyed the sunshine and were amazed by all the blossoming Magnolia trees. The musical was superb, loved every second of it!
Sunday was spent with dear friends at ours, Costa cooked a roast, my mum made a lovely chocolate cake for dessert and we drank a bit too much wine. We stayed up chatting all night after everyone left and I ended up falling asleep on the airmatress instead of the bed!
We made the most of our last day, woke up early and met Terese and Gun at Bill's for breakfast, went Converse shopping (Yes, we bought 6 pairs!), walked up to Devil's Dyke and enjoyed lunch our on the terrace and finished off the evening with a trip to the cinema.

Dinner at Pho with Gun and Terese
 Lunch at Portobello Market
 Wicked at Apollo Victoria
 Sunday roast at ours

Thanks mum for an amazing weekend!

Surprise party and Nine rooms

When you turn 30 you're allowed to celebrate more than one day, so we organised a surprise party for Valle. The boys and Rach decorated the flat and prepared the food whilst we were out enjoying the aftternoon tea. Even if Valle knew something was up this was better than she imagined! We had a great night! Food and drinks and ours, kareoke at Nine rooms and booging at the Haunt!

Cheesy Rock

At the moment I'm sitting here in my Pippi Longstocking jumper wiht a cuppa, trying to find a pair of nice summer shoes online and listening to cheesy rock music. Costa was wondering if I'm a secret Bon Jovi fan.Been a bit rubbish at updating here lately, so it's time for a two weeks catch up.
We discovered the Steak night at Blindbusker, ended up at ours had an evening filled with boy bands and 90's classics.
Costa treated me to an amazing We Will Rock You weekend in London and we went to the Hove Angling club and celebrated Jo's 30th!
We went to Valle's and Dave's for a Sunday roast and a lovely evening with dear friends.
The Spanish beauty turned 30 and celebrated with a massive party at Lion D'or.
The Birtday cake! Ordered from Granny's and Pap's bakery in Hove. Oh yes, me and Clare can bake!
We went out for dinner to celebrate Valle in a more civilised manor at Donatello's and we went for 2for1 cocktails with the ladies from work. Espresso Martinis makes you buzz!

Time to get ready for Paddy's celebrations and Lisa's bday get together!
