It started off with beer can chicken and then it just went down hill.

We haven't had a chance to catch up for ages so it was lovely to spend some quality time together. And as we all know, time flies when you have fun and before we knew it, it was bed time! Dinner and drinks turned into deep talk, deep talk turned in to laughter and silliness, which turned into charades and finally Dave and Costa dressing up in ladies clothes. The evening turned into a sleep over and we spent Sunday morning eating breakfast and cheering on the Brighton marathon runners.

Sofia and Lotta - half way to 50!

The year is 1987, The Simpsons is seen on TV for the first time, Aaron Carter and Lionel Messi are born, Sweden's first soap opera Varuhuset starts, Eurovison song contest is held in Brussels and IFK Göteborg wins the UEFA cup. In the middle of all this Sofia and Lotta were born, 25 years have passed since and on Easter eve it was time to celebrate that these beautiful ladies are half way to 50!
Started the evening with drinks and song rehearsal, it gave us a chance to catch up before heading in to town and the party. We sang our 'home written' song over and over again, didn't really get it to sound as well as we wanted but packed ourselves in to the cars and hoped for the best.
After loads of hugs, introductions and predrinks we were seated at the tables, dinner was served and different games were played whilst devouring the food. Must mention that our table won the treasure hunt!
The evening continued just as well as it started, we danced the night away to Swedish hits, had birthday cake and chatted to old friends.

Easter in Sweden

Started our trip towards Sweden and an Easter extravaganza on Wednesday night, spent the evening at Stansted (not the best night of my life), arrived in Lidköping on Thursday morning, had lunch and spent the evening looking at old pictures on the projector. Lovely memories and my parents told us stories about the 'olden days'. Friday was packed, met up with the Spjuth's family in the afternoon, it was as cosy as ever to play with the kids and catch up with Frida and John. It's not until you come home and see everyone again that you realise how much you miss them!
Was invited Alexandra's for dinner, had tacos and caught up with the ladies. Loads of laughter, talking and memories. Saturday was the day of the big Easter/ 25 years old party! Had a brilliant night! Sunday was spent with Pializ and my family, went to my Grandma before venturing to Gothenburg and started the trip back to the UK. As always the weekend in Sweden was brilliant, thanks to everyone for making it amazing!

First BBQ of the year!

For those of you who know us, know that we love to bbq! As soon as the first sun is out we get our green bbq bucket out and head down to the beach. So on Tuesday last week we packed our basket, took a blanket with us, enjoyed dinner on the beach and watched the sunset - Life is good!

The best of mums!

A while back Terese and I got a brilliant idea after a few wines and too many cheesy boy band songs - Let's invite our mums over for a 'girls' weekend' in Brighton. Both mum and Gun loved the idea and before we new it tickets were booked and the mum weekend got closer.

The weekend was full of laughter, talking, nice food, shopping and sunshine! We were lucky and a mini summer decided to visit Brighton at the same time as my mum - bare legs, t-shirts and warm evenings!
We started of the weekend with dinner at Pho, an evening full of Vietnamese noodle dishes, beers from Bali and laughter. On Saturday we went to London and spent the sunny day at Portobello Market and went to see the musical Wicked in the afternoon. A fantastic day! Enjoyed the delicious food at Portobello, went shopping, enjoyed the sunshine and were amazed by all the blossoming Magnolia trees. The musical was superb, loved every second of it!
Sunday was spent with dear friends at ours, Costa cooked a roast, my mum made a lovely chocolate cake for dessert and we drank a bit too much wine. We stayed up chatting all night after everyone left and I ended up falling asleep on the airmatress instead of the bed!
We made the most of our last day, woke up early and met Terese and Gun at Bill's for breakfast, went Converse shopping (Yes, we bought 6 pairs!), walked up to Devil's Dyke and enjoyed lunch our on the terrace and finished off the evening with a trip to the cinema.

Dinner at Pho with Gun and Terese
 Lunch at Portobello Market
 Wicked at Apollo Victoria
 Sunday roast at ours

Thanks mum for an amazing weekend!
