2012's TGE attempt

We didn't have tickets, although we had a plan, we had the will; we were well excited about the Great Escape! Instead of paying for tickets this year and ending up queuing instead of watching bands our plan was to watch the secret gigs, the street gigs and some bands from the unofficial Great Escape. You all must agree that this sounds like a great idea? Just as much fun, but for free!
It started up well, we meet up at James's new place, massive garden, great company and Pimms - what more can you ask for on a sunny Saturday afternoon?
A couple of drinks turned into a few more, 'we will leave in a minute' turned into 'we will leave in an hour', being able to see five gigs turned into being able to see one gig, maybe to at a push...And so on...All of a sudden it started to get dark and we finally started our venture towards town and the Great Escape! We walked past the Wick Inn on the way, and instead of continuing in to town we somehow decided to stop there for dinner? Dinner combined with a few more drinks and inappropriate conversations ended up with us together coming up with a brilliant idea. LUCKY VOICE! Karaoke is always a good call, right? What we apparently forgot at this point was that we were supposed to watch gigs, not sing along to cheesy boyband hits. Never mind, instead of free gigs I got a lovely afternoon in the garden, Thai food for dinner and topped the evening off with karaoke.

My parents, auntie and uncle came over for a visit a while back, unfortunately the weather wasn't great, however we had a great time anyway! Did all the tourist things in Brighton and went for a fw day trips. It was lovely to have them over and to spend some quality time together!

Girls weekend

No rest for the wicked! The day after my parents left Sofia, Lina and Mikaela came over for a girly weekend. We had four days filled with shopping, wine drinking, London visit and kareoke!

We go together on Thursday night to celebrate Dave's birthday, met up at the Wick to start with and headed down to Jade for dinner afterwards! Had a great night filled with drinks, loads (with emphasis on loads) of food and finished the evening off with Chinese kareoke, hilarious!

Wet BBQ!

Last Sunday we woke up in a boiling bedroom, the sky was blue, the birds were singing and the sun was shining straight in through our window. Finally we thoguht, spring is here! As you all know, as soon as weather allows we head down to the beach for BBQ and chilling in the sun, we did exactly the same this time, however this time we involved Valle and Dave and decided together with them that a bbq in their garden would be a great idea. We went to the shop and bought everything you could imagine to put on a bbq, burgers, corn on the cob, sausages, mushrooms and halloumi and ventured to Southwick. As we got there, the weather started to change, the clouds started to come in from the sea, the wind increased and on the news the weather reporters were talking about rain. Valle and I got a bit sceptical to the whole bbq idea and suggested we'd cook the food in the oven instead. But that was out of the question, Costa had bbq on his mind and no one was changing that, so we started the bbq, as we were in the kitched preparing the food we started hearing dripping on the roof. Rain! Right, time to get all the stuff back in, put the burgers in the pan instead and heat up the rest in the oven. Once again, Costa put his foot down and instead of taking the food in, he got a massiva umbrella out! It was windy, rainy and freezing! The bbq nearly went out and it was tricky to find a place where the rain wouldn't reach it, the managed though and the food tasted better than ever!
