Or rather, the summer is finally here. I have spent the week outside, enjoying this unexpected heat wave. It's the beginning of October and I've got this summer feeling, the feeling you always get in the beginning of summer, excitement mixed with expectations and hopes for a summer full of sunshine. It feels like June, when you start getting all excited about being able to stay out late with out wearing a cardigan, when you can sit on the beach and dip your toes in the cooling water, it feels like the outdoor climbing season just started, it feels like I should plan midsummer and my birthday...and it's October. Weird but so wonderful!
Martin just came back to Brighton after 4 months in Italy, so we all meet up on the beach for a BBQ and a catch up yesterday. As usual we are too much and sent our first Chinese lantern off.
Time to get ready for a country side walk and a Sunday roast.
